My heart rate hasn't been working for 3 days now. I have reset my fitbit charge 2 many times, but still nothing happens. Does anyone know what I could do? I recently bought it

Hi,
I have started having the "--" heart rate and the failure to register the steps since this morning. Even after syncing and turning on and off on many attempts, as suggested by posts on this thread. The green lights are on but nothing else seemed to work.. Please help.

My heart rate doesn't work most of the time during workouts! I had the same problem with my last Fitbit(hr). I think it's time to try another brand.

Hi,
Not sure if I am posting in the correct forum. It is regarding the same issue monicahal has encountered. My Charge 2 is working fine since I bought end Nov last year till last Sunday. Since Monday till now, the heart rate is constantly showing "--" on my Fitbit. I tried all that are mentioned... restarted 3 or more times, change from ON to AUTO to OFF to ON etc. There is green light from the bottom of my Fitbit and I can sync my steps. But no heart rate info.. Doesn't help at all.. please advise what other ways to resolve it.
At the same time, coincidently after I upgraded the firmware to the latest, my Fitbit battery runs flat everyday. Fully charge in the morning and next day after I woke up, it is totally flat. Please advise.

Hi, please try all the suggestions posted previously eg resetting, letting the battery drain and resetting etc. keep a record of what you have tried. If all else fails, contact Fitbit to request for a replacement if the warranty is still active.

Have tried all suggestions but my heart rate still is not appearing on dashboard. It appears on the face of the Charge 2 so I know I have it positioned correctly on wrist.

Options with the Fitbit geniuses. Nothing worked they say tracker faulty and offered a 50% discount on new one. Thanks for comment though.

I’ve got the same problem, the heart rate went off mid exercise. I’ve reset it twice, cleaned the contacts, turned auto on and off, switched positions and arms, so I’m out of options.
Help please

I am having this same issue with "heart rate not working." I took a jog this morning and my heart rate indicator was working. As the day has gone on, I'm wondering why it's consistently only showing 56 active minutes, as I did a resistance band workout and also worked hard in the yard all afternoon. Then I looked closer and I can see that my heart rate indicator just shows an unblinking heart--, the two green lights on the back are illuminated. I switched from "auto" to "on" and resynced. I have restarted or reset the Charge 2 numerous times as well. I know I'm wearing the device properly as I've had it for quite sometime now and have never had this issue before. Is there any other advice as to what to try? I feel like this is not going to rectify itself.

Hi! I am having this same issue and have tried all of the above. It stopped working with only "--" midday yesterday. The LED lights are flashing as they always have, but no HR is being recorded. Even my sleep was only a basic recording due to no HR. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I've had my Charge 2 for almost 2 years, maybe it's time to upgrade.

Same problem with my Charge 2 following the latest update: no 'live' heard rate showing on dashboard. After trying all the (waste of time suggestions here), the solution was simple: delete latest Fitbit app then restore version 2.69 dated 15/04/2018 logged on to my account and Bingo! the live heart showed instantly. Conclusion: the latest release from Fitbit is at fault. Fortunately I have an app - All Backup & Restore which stores the last 3 (or more) previous versions of my Android apps I suggest everyone gets a copy .. In the meantime perhaps Fitbit have the decency to admit to and resolve the problem.
