Heart rate accuracy

I wear the Charge3 all day. I sync it to an iPhone 11. I use an elliptical daily for about 40-60 minutes at a pretty high pace. My heart rate is in the 150-160 average. I compare the elliptical heart rate device to my Fitbit and most of the time it’s right on or slightly off. However there are a few times when I check my Fitbit heart rate it goes from 155 to 70 all of a sudden in the middle of my workout and after a minute back to 155. I do sweat quite a bit and I wear it fairly tight on my arm.
Could the sweat be messing up the heart rate sensor?  Too tight? Should I upgrade to a more expensive Fitbit?

Just my personal opinion: If your heart rate is close at fairly high intensity, except a for an occasional minute or two, be happy with your results.  I doubt switching trackers would give any improvement.  If you suspect sweat might be a problem, try a sweat wrist band.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
