Hey @EvieLL, welcome to the Community! Smiley Happy If your Charge 2 seems to be stuck with the firmware version on the display, I suggest you to try to restart it by following the instructions below:

1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You'll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker's display. Your Charge 2 will begin charging.
4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for four seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Let me know if that works!

I am having the same issue. Please help.

Bought fitbit new from costco yesterday.  Did the update during the setup.  Used it fine for a few hours after that.  This morning, I charged it.  The last thing I saw on the fitbit screen was a fully charged battery indicator.  So it was working when I charged it.  And it was fully charged at last indication.  But once I removed it from the charger, it won't turn on.

I tried the hard reset (plugging in and holding down button for 12 seconds).  That did not work.

There is literally no response from the fitbit.  It's dead in less than 24 hours.  I hope you can tell me how to fix it.

Fitbit ended up contacting me through this post. And they ended up sending
me a new one (took about 4-5 days). The whole process was relatively easy.
If they don't send you a email with in a day or so I'd say email them and
get the ball rolling. Hopefully this helps.

@Damiam A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't turning on. Try cleaning the contacts including using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this restart your device and see how it behaves.

Let me know how it goes!

I tried your suggestions with no luck. Once it is off the charger, it will
not do anything. On the charger I get the same error.

Was working perfectly. Went to do a needed update and the last thing I saw was 100% charged. Screen is now black. Won't connect through bluetooth on computer or iphone. Tried the charging cord with another fitbit and it worked perfectly. computer won't recognize it and the 4 second restart as well as 20 second reboot don't appear to do anything at all. Attempted to connect with other phones as well with no luck... seems to not respond at all to charging. Charging terminals are cleaned as advised and no vibration or anything on screen at all.

I gave up!  I received a Charge 3 for Christmas and now it isn't syncing.  I am about fed up with fitbit....until these last 2 devices I have been very pleased.  Now is an entirely different story.

It’s very frustrating! Nothing I tried worked so in the end I gave up. I now have a charge 3, I bought the extended warranty from John Lewis, if this one fails I’ll be purchasing a different brand!!

I have read the article...and tried all of the suggestions. I was able to
sync partially but I lost more than 2 weeks of data. There is an obvious
issue based on the number of complaints.
