This morning my Fitbit was fine, but when I put it on charge I noticed white horizontal lines on my screen and my Fitbit not acting right at all. It won’t do any commands I’m telling it to do, it just does what it wants to. The screen moves on its own. I’ve tried many troubleshooting techniques and nothing has worked. It’s never been wet. I got it for Christmas so it’s not even that old.

It took a while but I eventually connected with customer service via
Twitter then email. I was given the option of repairing the Charge 3 or
upgrading to a different model for a discount. So I currently have a very
broken and useless Charge 3 and a shiny new Versa 2.

After I charge my Fitbit 3, horizontallines appear at the top of the face. At first only a few but it becomes more and cannot read the top info.

Got mine for Christmas 2019 and it started the same thing, the black lines 3 to 4 days ago. My battery was lasting 10 days and not it lasts maybe 36 hours! Please advise.

Yeah, I had the same experience and went with a Garmin instead. Sad to leave Fitbit, but it seems they really did not want to take responsibility for a defect in their product. Pretty sad because if they had just replaced the watch, I would have been a Fitbit lifer. I guess I understand now why they wouldn't replace the watch - they'd need to replace a whole lot of them it seems. Congrats on your Versa 2.

I'm with you. Gave up on Fitbit after having the same problem and getting the same results from Fitbit. Very disappointing. I bought a Garmin and am very happy so you might check them out. Too bad. I loved my Charge 3. 😞

I have the same problem, with lines across the face of my Fitbit. Got this for a gift at Christmas and love it . Have tried restarting and changing the clock face but can hardly see anything on the screen. Please help.

Hi there, had my charge 3 less than a year and enjoy every minute of it! Lately unfortunately I've noticed dark lines appeared at the top and mid screen and I found this post about it... I've tried other faces, reset and updates but nothing changes
Can someone help me out please?🙏

My Rose Gold Charge 3 is also having the black lines issue! I have changed the clockface and rebooted several times with no change. I purchased it less than 9 months ago at Costco. It's been doing this for several months. I hoped it would resolve on its own or a fix would be posted that worked...but it just keeps getting worse. I'm not sure if I need to go through fitbit or Costco.

Hi when I got my charge 3 there were no lines across the screen after a while there was one at the top and then there was another that came and after I updated I got another one. They are just black and is a line through the colour on the screen
you can see one through the stat at the top another one through the first 2 numbers and another on the last 2 it is really noticeable and annoying is there any way to fix it

Hello!
I am having the same problem: my Charge 3 has an corrupted screen.
I have tried both standard an long reset, i have changing the clock faces. No result! The lines remained.
My charge 3 does not have synchronization issues.
I have got the watch as christmas present, last year, december 2019
Please, can you assist me further?

I’m also having this issue. I have had my Fitbit since Christmas 2019 I have tried resetting, changing clock faces uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing has worked. Is there anything else I can do?

UPDATE 8-28-2020
The horizontal lines problem presented itself again, less than 5 months later, with the new replacement they sent. This time, I’m out of the warranty period and thereby SOL. They will not send a replacement nor issue a refund for this KNOWN and well-documented defective product.
My next fitness watch purchase will be an Apple Watch.
