How do I delete old notifications?

Everyday I get notifications telling me that either I need a certain amount of steps to reach my goal, or that I'm an over achiever with so many steps above my daily goal.  That's great, however I now have 198 notifications showing.  How can I delete all these older ones?  Thanks!

Hello everyone, I believe I've found a partial solution to deleting notifications. Go to the Fitbit app on your phone and tap the account pane in the upper right hand corner and it will take you to your account. Scroll down to "Help" on that page under the Discover heading. Tap help and it will bring you to a page with a listing on it with " help articles" listed first. Tap that link and it will bring you to a page with all of the Trackers shown. Select your tracker in the photos and it will bring you to another page pertaining to your device. There it has a link to your owners manual. Since my Tracker is a Blaze the owners manual lists information about notifications beginning on page 21. It appears that there is no way to delete notifications except to turn notifications on or off. If someone finds out differently please respond.

Hi, I have my notficatiions turned off so I'm not getting new ones.  However, the ones dating back to March are still there taking up space. I would love to know how to delete them.

I see people mentioning notifications on the Charge 2 and Alta, neither unit saves any notifications, and only gives 60 seconds to view them.

Is it really the notifications on the t4acker or are you refferring to the app? Which has nothing to do with the tracker.

I do have three notifacations on the comunity of the app, the oldest is 25 days.

It is the app that all are complaining about
No one can find a way to delete notifications on the Fitbit app .....

Correct. FitBit explanation is that they delete themselves after 60 days. I still have "notifications" on my phone from February. No one has figured out how to delete them. I'd rather use my phone space for other things.

I am referring to the app on whatever mobile device is being used.

I have a Charge 2.  I want to delete the notifications that tell you how many steps you need to reach your goal for that day.  I have turned notifications off so I am not receiving any now.  However, I have old notifications dating back to March taking up space in my phone and I would like them deleted.

My notifications are six months old and I can't delete them.

I looked in the owners manual for the Charge 2 and found nothing about managing notifications for your particular tracker. You might try bothering to de-pair it and then pair it again and turn notifications off when you pair it the second time. Maybe you can delete the app off your mobile device and then reinstall it? That might eliminate the notifications.

I am right there with you. I am so glad to know I only needed 729 more steps on February 27, 2017 to reach my step goal! It absolutely has made my day (which happens to be August 21, 2017). Yep.

I want to delete my notifications, but haven't found a way.  I read your response that they fall off after 30 days, but mine don't.  They go back almost 5 months.  It's packing way too much storage on my iphone.  How can I fix this?

Best Answer
Here is a possible solution: Go to Settings > Notifications > Fitbit > Allow Notifications to off.

That turns them off. That doesn't erase them.

Yes, you are correct. I'm in the same position you are in, I cannot delete notifications from the app on my iPhone. I sent my original reply to the wrong place and didn't feel like elaborating a second time. If you figure out how to delete notifications on the app please pass it along. :full_moon_face:

If you turn off notifications you will not get the buzz telling you it is time for your 250 steps.

Seems fitbit has finally fixed this on IPhone app anyway ....got a message on the app that it was doing a cleanup and all old notifications magically got deleted ....everything older than August 10th was deleted
