How do I delete old notifications?

Everyday I get notifications telling me that either I need a certain amount of steps to reach my goal, or that I'm an over achiever with so many steps above my daily goal.  That's great, however I now have 198 notifications showing.  How can I delete all these older ones?  Thanks!

You can turn off other notifications, and still get the 250 step notification every hour.  That's what I did. I don't remember what the setting is, but you can turn off other notifications, and get the reminder.

I would like to know how to do this. If anyone knows please post it.

Dear Susan,

I have yet to figure it out. I've read and tried everything offered and have gotten no where.

My next question is, if I turn off "notifications" will my fitbit still vibrate me to remind me to move? I really like that part and don't want to lose one to get rid of the other.

I am not able to delete existing notifications, but I can determine which notifications I receive in the future.  I only kept the low battery notification for mobile, but I don't ever expect to receive one of those.

If you are asking about stopping future notifications, this is how I did it. I manage my Fitbit account using the browser interface on my PC, but you can probably do it from the phone app, I just prefer using a keyboard.  On my PC, I log into my fitbit account, click on the little gear (in the upper right hand corner of the screen), and click on settings.  I select notifications, where I can choose which notifications to receive via mobile or email.  I selected Low Battery for mobile and Weekly Summary and Product Updates for Email, then click on Save.

I'm going to give this a try. I have a Mac, not a PC, but it should work similarly. Mostly use mobile app and seldom come to computer. I'll make an exception if this will stop future notifications.

Do you still get reminded to get up and move if your life keeps you sedentary unless you make a point of moving? I really do depend on those hourly reminders on my Charge 2.

Yes, I still get the move it reminders at 10 minutes before the hour is up, even with other notifications turned off.

I turned my notifications off and I do not get the vibrations when it's time to walk.

You may want to turn notifications on, but turn off (deselect) all of the individual notifications.

I have notifications turned on, but have turned off (removed the check mark) from all of the individual notifications except for low battery.

If you turn off notifications, if my turn off the 250 step notification.  I have notifications (in general) turned on, just the ones I don't want turned off individually.

Hope this helps.

Really furious that I have over 800 notifications on my Charge HR Fitbit app. This clogs up my phone, any news when this problem will be addressed?

Best Answer

A far clogging the phone, these messages are in your apps cache. They are not stored on the phone.

I have exactly 10 and all within rye last 30 days.
