Welcome on board @Yvonne27, it's great to have you here! Well, hen it comes to the notifications on the app, the notifications will automatically deleted after 30 days. Before that period of time, there's no way to manually delete those notifications. However, if your app is showing notifications for more than the last 30 days, I'd recommend the following:

  • Make sure that your Fitbit app is up-to-date (iOS, Android)
  • Log out of your Fitbit app
  • Force quit the app
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit app

Hope this helps, I'll be around if you need further assistance!

@Midgetme Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry to hear that you are still seeing your notifications. Are your notifications older than 30 days? As explained it will take 30 days for them to disappear from your app. Make sure your app is up to date. Also could you share a screenshot of these notifications?

I look forward to your reply!

Hi Alvaro,

i am having the the same issue. My notifications are as old as last March 2018.

I tried updating the app, logging out, turning off Bluetooth and reconnecting, shutting down my phone and even deleted my app.

They are still appearing. I also tried to insert a screenshot to no avail.

Please help.

Thank you,

Gaylene

I tried the reccommended procedure to no avail. The 60 notifications from May/June 2017 are still there. No new notices have appeared since June. Is there anything else to do?

thank you!

Mine is doing the same thing. But I have notifications on there from 2017! I haven’t gotten a new one since June 2018!

I completely understand your frustration!! Whilst I do not have notifications as old as yours, mine are from May and June of 2017. I have tried resetting my Charger2 twice, with no discernible change. I did discover that it takes up to 30 days for the notices to disappear, even after a reset. But this is still not happening (23-08-2019)

So, I am waiting to see if anything changes at the 30-day mark...at that point, if no change, I plan to try the reset again. Maybe it will work....uninstalling the app is not nice, all historical data is lost, so I would like to avoid that...

Whilst waiting, I have made sure that all of the old notifications are marked as 'read' (just tap on each to change to white background color). My thinking is that if the status is unread, then it may not be removed. Also, it just occurred to me to delete the app from my tablet...maybe 2 installations has contributed to the problem??? -Not the problem.

And now new scammer messages appeared, blocking & reporting the fake user does not get rid of the notices (23-08-2019)

Good luck, and let me know your progress 🙂

I have notifications dating back to August...TWO YEARS AGO.  The 30 days is just not a true statement.  I have so many old notifications that it makes this part of the application completely useless to me.

Notice the way that you don't get an answer to this problem of the appearance of very old notifications?

I've tried several times with screenshots and never even had an acknowledgement that the problem exists.

This is really lame. Fix the **ahem** software. It's a piece of junk.
