I haven't really tried many of the feature for the Fitbit. Frankly, it is not that intuitive to me and takes much more time to figure this stuff our than I am willing to devote to it. But I was trying to check the details on the dashboard and looking at individual days, but I don't see current data. I was there from my weekly progress, so I don't understand how to find current data. Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to see the latest data on the Dashboard by default. Where are you viewing this data (website dashboard or Fitbit mobile app)? If it is the first then please clear cache and cookies on your web browser or use a different one like Firefox or Chrome. Regarding the Fitbit app, please log out, restart your phone and log back in.
