I've been using my charge 2 now for nearly a year and today it logged 156k steps??? How do I correct this,? Also cant figure out why such a huge discrepancy was logged by my device today.

Is the Fitbit near a vibration source like a fan, dehumidifier, or even a computer CPU? It can see the vibration as steps and add false steps.
You can enter a driving record to get rid of them

@Nana500 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!
Let me help you with your step discrepancy. Additionally to @WendyB suggestions this can also happen if you were driving a car with stiff suspension or most likely a motorcycle. Also check if no third party apps linked to your account logged any activities. As @WendyB said you can log a driving activity to negate these steps.
Let me know how it goes.
