I have a Charge 3 and my stairs are adding up like crazy. Like today it's only 1pm I only have on 2,600 steps and it says I have climbed 6 flights of stairs. I have climbed not 1 single stair let alone a 6 flights. I have reset the fitbit but it is still adding flights on quickly. Any help??

I found that, when I wear my FitBit Charge 3 in the pool, it records extra "floors," most likely because of the water pressure. That explains five of them from this morning; however, the additional ten floors listed does not make sense! (see photo).
P.S. I live in a one-story home!

This is beyond frustrating. My fit bit was working just fine until a couple of days ago and now the floor count is out of control. I woke up this morning already with 2500 steps and I didn’t get out of bed at all. There has been no change in the temperature of my apartment so this is so disappointing.

I wish you had not marked this issue as “SOLVED” as clearly this NOT.
I did 49 minutes of lawn mowing today with no elevation changes and got 40 floors!
I had connected GPS tracking walks with no major elevation changes and Charge 3 SE still gave me anywhere from 30 to 40 floors.
Erroneous floor tracking has been posted to different threads by numerous users. The latest firmware 1.60.39 and app 2.94 have not resolved this issue.

Hello @LanuzaFitbit,
May I suggest you switch the issue to not solved? It is clearly not solved: you are offering a work-around. And it is a tedious one at best.
Thanks.

Amen - not a solution, and barely a work-around. And tedious is an understatement. I have seen posts on this back to October of last year, and at that time "they" said they were working toward a solution - yeah, right! Here we are 9 months later and it is still a problem. Charge 3 is a giant step backwards! I am so disappointed and I wish my Charge 2 hadn't broken.

The floor counting seems to get worse and worse. Last week I "climbed " 120 floors when 10 was closer to the fact. Though over the weekend 89 floors while walking in the neighborhood and in my ranch home.

Congratulations! (Sigh)
And Fitbit insists there is no problem and the topic / thread / issue “SOLVED”!

Not your fault: I totally understand. Let’s see we get the attention of the people at Fitbit and make them see what drives customers...

You know what?
A better workaround would be (notice the friendly customer suggestion of an alternative workaround, mind you, not a solution), to add the possibility of temporarily switching off tracking, for instance, when driving a car. It would be way better to be able to not getting the wrong reading and having to manually correct it afterwards.

Nah...

Fixing the bug is the best option, don’t you think?

It must be a fix since until the recent firmware update my activity was reasonably accurate. since a "fix" appeared to cause the bug; the bug is "fixed"
