It doesn't work

I recently bought a fitbit charge 3.

Much to my annoyance, I have found syncing to be very unreliable.

I thought these devices worked, but, apparently, they don't. I find this surprising for such a widely known brand, and rather disappointing.

I bought a Polar fitness monitor a few years ago and that worked fine until the battery stopped taking charge after a couple of years.

The fitbit app is rubbish. Why don't they have a button you can press to "Sync" your device either in the app or on the devices itself?

That misses the point of why people buy these devices. I mean, after one has gone out and done some excerise, one wants to see your data from the exercise session, surely ?

I am going to try installing a non-fitbit app. I will let everyone know if that fixes the problems.

Basically, I have just thrown 80 euros out the window, and that makes me mad.

What a rip-off.

 my charge 3 has also not been working correctly and then the screen slowly dimmed and then completely went blank.  they offered my a 25% discount because the one i have is a replacement for the last one that only worked for 3 months so they won't give another replacement to me! but you need to use it at their online store and they only have one color! in stock PINK! and after chat they stated i would be given a survey to give me feed back but nothing popped up which is what happened the last time i chatted.  Seems they don't really want our business or to improve their product.

@showe1966  The Charge 3 has been out of production  for a while now. I would return it to where you bought it and get something newer.

They don’t offer the charge 4 at the online store which is where I need to use the discount. And my current one is a replacement from them for my last charge that was damaged so they won’t give me another replacement only a discount.

@mlgj I'm not sure which only store but the Charge 4 is for sale on the Fitbit  online store.

I just bought it in a Decathlon store in South Italy. I'm not sure what their returns policy is. Decathlon's sale strategy is "Pile it High, and Sell it Cheap" I don't think this is a practical solution for me.

Thanks for your response. I will keep trying to get it working through various strategies. However, I have a very busy schedule, so this might take me a while to achieve. If I work out a way to get everything working, I will update this post.
