My Charge 2 stuck on clock face and cannot reset

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

As per title, it happened yesterday. Now my charge 2 is stuck at the clock face showing 6:12 22 Nov, distance and calorie burned. I tried the reset technique by plugging the fitbit to the charger and press the button for 5, 10 and 15 seconds. It vibrates but it still gives the same face of the same time and date. Even after trying to re-pair the charge 2 on the app, the fitbit vibrates but it still shows the same clock face. However on the app, it is already asking the 4 digit pin number to pair my tracker. I can't key it in since I only get the clock face shown not the pin number. I tried unpairing and try to re-pair again, same thing happen, only the clock face is shown. No pin number.

For information, previously it work fine on my Redmi Note 4. Then recently I changed phone to Poco F2 Pro. It work normal for both phones until yesterday. Also when it was stuck on the clock face, it could somehow still sync my data that day. Its just that the face is still stuck on the clock.

Thanks Alvaro.

Since the screen won't budge from the clock face, I would like to know if there's any way to get the pin number generated by the Fitbit App during pairing to be sent to my registered email as well or sent an sms to my phone number instead of just sending it to the fitbit screen only. Its like back up way if the fitbit screen goes bust but still working in the background. I think I can get it paired again if I just get the pin generated this way, thru email or sms. The clock face might not change but at least I can pair it again. This way I can still use it just to track my sleep, maybe daily activity just not the screen. It probably be just like fitbit flex, no screens but just a tracker.

Let me know if Fitbit App can do this. Thank you.

@Raksaksa thank you for your reply.

You won't be able to get the pin on the app, if the screen doesn't work you won't be able to setup the device. This is why I ask you to wait for our Support team contact you.

Keep me posted.

@AlvaroFitbit thanks for the reply.

Actually I already received the email from Support team and I think I already know the outcome. I was just trying to check my options. Unfortunately, Support Team says that my fitbit does not meet the replacement requirements of fitbit warranty policy.

I had a good run with my Charge 2. After checking my history in the app, been using it for about 4 years. Just wish it was not the screen getting stuck but just the battery cannot hold charge than usual which is more acceptable. Fitbit App is great. Friendly user interface. I like the tracking capabilities especially the sleep tracking. Keying in and tracking calories does give you some motivation to eat healthily. I am grateful. Unfortunately, as they say all good things must come to an end. Since it happened, this gives me a good opportunity to try other type of trackers and health app out there. I'm still keeping my Charge 2 even though I cannot use it or repair it because it has sentimental value as it was a gift from my parents. Who knows, maybe someday my Charge 2 will wake up from its coma. 😆 . If not, I'll just keep it as a reminder.

Thank you and good luck Fitbit.
