My fitbit has been playing up being unresponsive for a couple of months but now it wont respond at all. It stopped working last night after it said it needed to be charged, which i did, but has not worked since. When you try to turn it on the a high pitch sound comes out of it.
I have attempted to reset the device but to no avail. Does anyone know what i can do? I got it this time last year
Thanks!!

@ZM6293 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! It's really odd that your tracker is making noises and that it won't accept a restart. Could it be the vibration motor that isn't turning off? Try letting the battery drain completely and then charge it and retry the restart by doing the following:
Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.
But as @WendyB said if the issue can't be solved then please do contact our Support team for further assistance.
Let me know how it goes!

As it’s not turning on at all do you know when I might know if it has drained? It has stopped making the noise now but when I plug it in to charge it just gets really hot.
thanks!

Hello, I have the same problem with my Fitbit. Is it safe to plug it in? the battery will not explode will it? I noticed the issue after it burned my wrist twice, and drained down in one hour after saying it had 80% charge?
