Not receiving text notifications

Its been a while since i have used my fitbit charge 2. So i got it all restarted, charged up and ready to go. However, now my text messages are not displaying.

I have already tried:

restarting (several different times)

turning my phone off and on

uninstalling and reinstalling the fitbit app

turning Bluetooth off and on (including forgetting device etc)

checked all areas for notification settings

Now in the fitbit app when i click notifications, its says it needs to pair to Bluetooth, i hit "set up" and nothing ever happens. Then when i go to Bluetooth on my phone, it doesn't even find the fitbit

ive been trying all of these things for 1 week now. Help!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device you're currently using? Also, when was the first time you experienced this? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Fitbit are correctly configured and to try some troubleshooting steps.

I have the same issue.  Not receiving any text but calls notifications I do.

Yep! My calls work but not texts ugh!

I Have the iPhone 8 Plus and I had my Fitbit in a drawer for about 6 months. Just got it out to start using again about 3 weeks ago and that’s when this started happening.

Same here.  Had it in my drawer for several month because I was using another tracker.  The other  tracker, died.  So pulled out the Fitbit and now the notifications are not working.  Wonder if it has to do with the fact that it has been discontinue

I got mines brand new today and it’s the same. Been sitting for hours switching things on and off and YouTubing tutorials but just not working. Calls are working fine though!

I finally got mine to work with txts .  Go to the search menu here in the community and type charge 2 notifications and you will see a lot of messages and solutions .  What worked for me was to put the Phone, Calendar and Texts with Notifications On and show previews Always .  One of the postings says that all three have to be with Notifications On and the Show Preview either on Always or When Unlocked .
