Not tracking my steps

I've been doing the treadmill and it says that I have 3.6 miles but my Fitbit says 2 miles. It's not tracking all my steps. Very frustrating.  Please help!!! I've only had Fitbit for almost a year.

Does this happen all the time or just today? I moved around all day today before I noticed my Fitbit isn’t counting all my steps. It has worked just fine for the last two years until day.
