Hi, all, my Fitbit charge 4 is less than a year old and has stopped tracking footsteps, heart rate, and sleep but tracks calories. I have tried everything to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas? I have rebooted countless times, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and looked through the manual 😕 thanks in advance

Hello @Whit11
It’s odd that your Charge 5 is only basically tracking calories. You stated a restart didn’t solve the problem nor did a total reinstall. It’s syncing because it’s clearly counting calories as you stated. I just want to clarify something…when you open your Fitbit App does your steps, heart rate etc say zero? Or it doesn’t display at all except for calories? 🤔 I’m wondering if you just need to adjust your Fitbit App screen. On the Today page you can tap edit in the upper right corner of the screen. If you tap that you can scroll down the page and add items you would like to appear on your Today Page of the Fitbit App. Once you choose what you want displayed then scroll to the top of the screen and tap done. (I apologize in advance if this is not what is going on but simply a guess on my part)
😉 Let me know if this is what’s going on or something totally different

Hey, thanks for this. Unfortunately, all the ones I wanted to track were ticked, I deleted them and added them again, still no joy. It’s the oddest thing, I have tried everything. Thanks for replying

Hello again @Whit11
In your first post you used the term “rebooted” does that mean your rebooted your mobile device or your Charge 4 itself. I normally use the term restarted so I just wanted to make sure that you did restart your Charge 4 as described here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm. If not please try it. If that doesn’t help (as odd as this suggestion might sound) try changing your clock face. Preferably one by Fitbit and not a third party to make sure that’s not the problem. You can always change it back if that doesn’t resolve it. Also try turning your Bluetooth off want a couple of seconds then turn it back on and attempt to sync.
😉 let me know what you find out

Hi, thanks for all your suggestions, I have tried all this, including changing the clock face, restarting (rebooting) my phone, app, Fitbit. I am at a loss, am ready to throw a paddy and chuck it out of the window 😂

Hello again @Whit11
Is your Charge 4 showing as connected on your Bluetooth? Or not showing on the list at all? If it is showing remove it from the list then go back to your Fitbit app and attempt to sync again (hopefully you will get a pairing request) If you don’t get a pairing request tap on your profile picture then scroll down an tap Charge 4 then scroll down an tap Remove This Charge 4. Log out of the Fitbit App, restart your phone then log back into the Fitbit app as you normally would. Now tap your profile picture then scroll down and tap Set Up A Device. Pick Charge from the list of trackers then follow the onscreen instructions. You will not lose your data as it is stored on the Fitbit Server. So everything since your last sync that was successful should be there.
😂 I think trying this is a better idea then throwing a paddy and chucking it out the window….let me know how it goes

I have a similar issue, but mine is no calories tracking, but tracking all the rest. Any ideas?

Hello @clark1725
Yours is very likely running great and tracking correctly so if calories is your only issue please don’t make any alterations at this time. Your most likely falling into a current known issue that Fitbit is away of and currently working on a fix. Hopefully it will be addressed soon in an up and coming update. It’s occurring both with Android and iOS users. You can read about it here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Fitbit-app-not-tracking-food-and-calories-intake/td-p/51... (that’s just one example of a ongoing thread) if a solution is or fix is forthcoming you would hear about it there most likely first.
😉 So, I’d say yours is running “relatively” nicely. I hope that explains you calorie tracking issue.

@Whit11 You can use the link I provided in my previous post to connect to “Live Chat” and communicate that way. On another note please look here to make sure your not experiencing a compatibility issue:https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/compatible-devices
😉 I hope that helps
