My Charge 2 is not sending text or phone notifications from my Samsung Galaxy S7. So far I have unpaired and paired it with Bluetooth, restarted the Fitbit, restarted the phone, turned Bluetooth on and off, turned notifications on and off, and deleted and downloaded the Fitbit app. I'm at a loss. There is nothing that says "turn on text messages" under notifications. Am I missing something?

I figured it out! On the app the are three icons at the top right. One of them is my Charge 2, along with the battery indicator and the account icon. Clicking that Charge 2 icon brings up a menu that includes notifications. Upon opening that I found I could choose those notifications I wanted - text and calls - and grant permissions for my phone to send those to the fitbit. It works perfectly now. Hope this helps.

When you say you have turned notifications on and off, are you talking about in the app? Have you also checked on the Charge 2? It has a "do not disturb" function that turns notifications on / off by pressing and holding the button on the Charge 2.

Hey @xtina724, I hope you are doin' fine! I appreciate the time you have taken to try to fix this not-getting notifications on your Charge 2. If the tracker itself has the "Do not disturb" mode off, then you should get your notifications. Let me suggest you to take a look at all the troubleshooting in this help article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone.
Thanks for your help @SteveH!
Let me know how it goes!

My husband and I tried everything (turning on/off Bluetooth, unload/reload app, turn on/off notifications, turn on/off phone, set up new device, restart fitbit, load app on husband's phone, ect) and I was on customer support chat for over an hour (repeat everything I had previously tried) to figure how to get the notifications to work on my Samsung S9+. Customer service told my fitbit was defective, even though notifications had worked on my old phone 2 weeks ago. This fixed the problem. Thank you so much!!!!
I know the frustration you were going through. I was about to start biting people. I'm so glad this helped!

Hey @mag653, thanks for your reply! If you are not getting text notifications on your Charge 2, I'd like you to take a look at the troubleshooting in this help article: My Fitbit isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.
By the way, I do apologize for the delay in answering your concern.
Hope that helps!
Best AnswerI think the instructions Fitbit has posted are incorrect. When I stopped getting notifications I followed their instructions faithfully. Several times. I found the solution doesn't lie within the account settings. On your phone try this instead:
> tap the icon of your Fitbit device at the top of the screen (there should be three - your device, the battery indicator and the account)
> tap notifications
> tap messages; choose your default app. You can also turn on phone calls and calendar notifications here if desired.
You should now be getting texts. Hope this helps.
