I too have now 3 x fitbit charge 3s and all have blank screens bar one the has lines and is faint but pairable with darkness and a magnifying glass....lol... Received a new replacement which won't pair and now has the 001 and fitbit logo on...not impressed at all as a great bit of kit when working but seems a 9/10 chance of failure/faults in the product.... All of mine are Rose gold in colour and wondered what colours everyone else on this page has? Wosrav

Hi Maria,
I have the same problem. I can't pair the Charge 3 that my son gave me but I cannot read the display. It was faint before and now it looks light at the top and bottom and dark in the middle but I cannot read any code. It is recharged though and the display on the phone detects the device and requests the code.
I don't even need the display on the device. I could see anything I need to see on my phone. Have mostly done that before.

Hi
Im having the exact same issue. My display has stopped working, so I cannot see the 4 digit code to pair the device!!! Restarting the device has not worked to get screen working. Neither has changing the clock face. Next suggestion was unpair the device and re-pair. However I'd need to be able to see a code ON THE NON-WORKING DISPLAY in order to pair. So now my device is unpaired, and the screen doesn't work. Please help.

What do I do if my fitbit is still on dark mode? Will I still continue to set up my mobile device when I cannot see my pairing code from my fitbit?

Hi, this is a problem if you cannot see anything on the screen as each time you un-pair the fitbit creates a new pairing code that you need to see to pair to the app...for me I was lucky in that I could barely see the screen and could only just make out the numbers but a friend advised that the fitbit sometimes goes into dim screen mode, to change this I swiped my screen left to right, this still worked, till I was at the last screen page and tapped at the top of the screen and bingo it got brighter, it didn't repair the issue but allowed me to see the 4 digit pair code and once linked I've not unpaired it and use it without a display screen. You can find how to get to the screen brightness setting in the instructions or YouTube....i think it was 4 but maybe 5 swipes to the right, then tap the top ara of screen...if it gets brighter yay if not then do not unoair, unless you've already done that then it's gone in afraid, you could try to see it in a dark room with a cupped hand around it, I could just see enough then. Hopefully it will brighten. Best of luck, Wos

Hi, thanks for that. I bought a new device soon after I posted that. But it's good to know as it might happen again with this one eventually. So, I should memorise where that setting is. It has been a problem before that I couldn't increase the lighting when it was too dark as I couldn't read anything.
