Problems re-pairing Charge 2 to iPhone 7

Hello!

I am having problems pairing my Charge 2 with my iPhone 7. I had previously used these two devices together without any major issues, then I stopped using my FitBit for several months and recently started again. My devices were syncing steps, calories, etc perfectly a few days ago and then they stopped syncing so I unpaired them to try to fix it. Now I am trying to pair them together again but my phone will not "find" my Charge 2. My phone gets to the screen where it says that it is "looking" for a device to pair with and then stays on that screen because it can't find my FitBit. My iPhone is running iOS 12.1.4 and I recently updated it. I have deleted and re-installed my fitbit app, restarted my phone, turned my bluetooth on and off many times, and rebooted my fitbit many times (using the method where you plug it in to the charger and hold the button for four seconds until it vibrates and the FitBit logo appears). But every time I try to pair the two devices together, my phone will not find my Charge 2. I have checked that my bluetooth is turned on on my phone, that my FitBit screen is on, that my FitBit is plugged in and charged, and that there are no other bluetooth devices nearby. What else can I do? The FitBit itself works fine and is picking up all my data from my wrist, I'm just unable to sync it to my phone because I can't pair the two devices in the first place.

Thank you in advance for your help!

@nemmisk A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't syncing with your iPhone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device.

Let me know how it goes!

Alvaro, thank you for your suggestion. I tried what you recommended but unfortunately it didn't work. Any other ideas?

Looking at the forum I see that many people have solved their sync issues by unpairing their Charge 2's from their old iPhones. My iPhone had unrelated issues several months ago so my local Apple store switched my sim card to a loaner iPhone for a week and then eventually gave me a new phone because they were unable to fix my old one. So I may have tried to sync my FitBit to my old phone and/or my loaner phone but now I don't have access to either of those phones so I can't delete the FitBit from them. Looking back I did have a lot of issues reconnecting my FitBit with my new phone after I got it back from the apple store and that might have been why I stopped using my FitBit several months ago. Any ideas?
