I have a Fitbit charge 3. I have restarted my phone and Fitbit multiple times. I deleted the app from my phone and restarted it. I have removed the charge 3 from my app and now after trying to set it up as a new device, it will not pair. The numbers to pair show up on my Fitbit, but as soon as I try and pair it it it spins while saying "connecting to Fitbit...".
It eventually connects after 20 mins. But I am afraid it will stop syncing like usual. I do not want to carry around the charging cord to restart my Fitbit every time it stops syncing. Is there a fix?
And now it is not tracking my heart rate on the app. I am not sure how to even try and fix that.
Why are there so many issues for an expensive device?
I have never worn my Fitbit in water and I am very careful with the device. I got the Fitbit in late December so it's only a few months old.
Hi yes I did remove the charge 3 twice. To reconnect it I had it sitting on top of my phone & it finally connected after an hour & I was finally able to sync it. But now I noticed the time is wrong so tried to update & it won’t sync again.
Yes, I removed it via the phone's Bluetooth and via the Fitbit app.
Best AnswerTo change the time:
Open the Fitbit app
1. Click on the profile icon in the top left.
2. Scroll down and click "advanced settings"
3. Look at Time Zone and make sure it is set to "Set Automatically"
3*. If that doesn't work, select you're "time zone"
I hope that helps
Best AnswerSince you did remove the tracker from your Fitbit account. (please note that doing this will only add more problems).
Have you setup the tracker through the Fitbit app?
Best AnswerGood morning. I treated it like it was a brand new device, Reinstalled the app & added a new device. After an hour it syncs, but then as soon as I’m not near my phone it’s gone again & it won’t connect again. Been trying all weekend to get this to work, but thinking it’s become a glorified watch, but it doesn’t even keep the time. Yes it is charged & set to my time zone. Thanks
I have the exact problem between syncing my iPhone 8 and Charger 3. I have been able to sync once every other day and like you, this is unacceptable. The charger still works which is the key reason I haven’t got rid of it. So far, the most consistent thing I’ve heard is Fitbit has not made update to Apple’s recent update.
No this is definitely unacceptable. I got it to sync this morning, time was correct. But I'm not one to have my phone by my side every second of the day, doing my house work look at the time & its off again, don't even think its' tracing my steps either.

Best AnswerI have tried everything suggested on FitBit including restarting with a different email address. It gets stuck at connecting to my device. Finds my tracker but that’s it. My Charge 3 isn’t even a year old, never been in the water or banged up. I’m very careful with it

Best AnswerHopefully they can correct the issue. Mine is only 9 months old. Pretty bad when it’s sitting on top of my phone & the Bluetooth can’t find it
Best AnswerAre you trying to find it through the phones Bluetooth @klappy05?
As per setup instructions, we do not use the phones Bluetooth to find the tracker.
Best AnswerAt this point I’m trying anything to get it to sync. For now I give up, I’ve put it on the shelf, I’ll try again later on in the week. Getting tired off trying to get it to work
