Re: Charge 3

This is how my Charge 3 started.  Now it does nothing.  Blank face and still no syncing.  And now, when I push the button on the side, it just vibrates.  No face at all.

I tried forgetting the device and now it won’t find it at all. Other Bluetooth devices are reconnecting just fine.  So frustrating.  Started out this morning 15 minutes slow and now it’s 34 minutes slow.

I’ve restarted my charge 3, my iPhone 11 Pro and now the charge 3 doesn’t show up as a Bluetooth device.  It’s been fine for over a year now.  Then today I noticed the clock was slow.

I’m going to abandon Fitbit all together.  They can’t seem to get things together lately, which is disappointing.  They used to excel at customer service, but it has drastically changed for the worse in the last year.  Very discouraging.  I would hope that when you pay in excess of $130 for a device, it would work as advertised.  Now it’s just a broken watch and an expensive manual pedometer.  It won’t even show up as a Bluetooth device.

Did Fitbit get hacked and someone put a virus in the tracker code?  My Charge 3 tracker was working fine for the past year or so until yesterday morning.  The alarm for me to run went off 15 minutes late and it has been losing time ever since. It is now 3 hours slow.

I followed steps provided by restarting the tracker, restarting the iPhone 11 Pro, forgetting the tracker in Bluetooth, then re-establishing a Bluetooth connection.  This worked for less than an hour and it was constantly switching between connected and not connected.  Now my phone won’t even find the tracker as a Bluetooth device. My wife has had an Apple Watch for three years and had no issues like this.  She’s pressuring me to abandon my Charge 3 and go with the Apple Watch, but I enjoy my Fitbit community.  Please fix this issue.

I’m just glad I didn’t Invest in the Fitbit premium yet.  I’d be highly disappointed.

I had the exact same thing happen.  A couple of days ago, the time on it started slowing down.  I followed all my f their steps of restarting, unpairing, etc. to no avail.  Then, yesterday evening it just went blank and buzzes whenever I push the side button.

I've tried to get help, but it is a bigger issue than Fitbit is advertising.  I suspect they got a virus and it is killing all the trackers.

Your tracker only needs to have power. Have you cleaned the contacts with isopropyl alcohol?

I’ve cleaned the contacts and changed from a wall outlet to my computer.  Fitbit screwed up something and is killing fitbits.  They need to stop messing around with people and make this right.

Unless you did a firware update 2 days ago, Fitbit could not have made changes to your tracker.

How long has the battery been dead?

A lot of your posts describe a sync issue.

Have you tried a restart. You may want to try while the Charge 3 should be charging.

I’ve tried all of that.  I’ve been working with support staff for five days now.  It’s just garbage.  At this point, Fitbit is dead to me and I’ll be warning everyone I meet about how poor quality it has become.  Used to have excellent customer service.  No longer is the case.
