Remove Weight From Watch

Please can someone tell me how to remove my Charge 3 from display my weight on the watch face menu!?

I really really do not want my weight displayed on my wrist - eating disorder issues - it makes me feel sick to see it displayed. Plus I do not wish anyone seeing it should I want to show off my Charge 3.

My Charge 2 didn’t do this. It’s naking me anxious not being able to find the option to remove it ( to the point where I want to

throw away my new Fitbit 😞  )

Yep. Just got off a chat with support. He told me to “have my voice heard” here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/idb-p/features

-the link didn’t work for me though. 🤷🏻‍:female_sign: Hopefully they will remove it soon!

@Marrrmaduke I just tried setting a weight loss goal and it still just shows my weight on my watch. 🤷🏻‍:female_sign: I tried to just “maintain” and also didn’t have a goal set at all and it still shows up. I’ve been syncing each time... not sure what else to do. The support help from FitBit says there no way to remove it from the watch.

"People do NOT need to see their weight every day. It’s not healthy"

Sorry but I disagree. Buying and using a device to track your "fitness", to me is something that is a reminder to become healthy. That's why i use it... its not to just see the time. I want to see ALL the stats, the good and the bad.

If you are extremely over/under weight, seeing that figure should be a trigger to do something about it TODAY. not seeing it is not going to help motivation. You don't put tape over the check engine light to pretend its not there.

Is seeing your heart rate make it rise? seeing how much sleep you get make you sleep less? If so, don't use it.

I'm not trying to sway anyone's opinion, I just don't see this the same way as others. Its a mind set. Be happy with your self, no matter what size or shape.

Its about you and not what others think.

Exactly! It’s about what I think! It’s my tracker, and I don’t want it visible.

Unless you’ve worked in the fitness industry like I do, and had a eating disorder or mental health issues then your opinion isn’t relevant.

Just scroll through the forums and you will see post after after post saying how awful it is it can’t be changed.

Hi! I was helping my daughter's new Fitbit tonight and she felt as you do about having her weight displayed on her watch. We tried all sorts of things which didn't work, but then she had the idea of entering her weight in "stones" rather than "pounds" (she did have to re-register the device, which was a pain, but she really wasn't going to be happy with the watch with those "pounds" on the screen). The watch still has the data it needs to give accurate readings, and my daughter won't feel self conscious or depressed about information appearing on her watch. Of course, if you normally measure your weight in stones this wouldn't work at all, but I thought I'd suggest it as it might be helpful to someone!

You can choose a different face that does not have the other info besides the clock. But it will be in the display as you swipe through them. This was a poorly designed app and hope fitbit realizes most people do not want to see everything and want to tailor it to them like the Charge 2 let us do.

Same issue. This really sucks of FitBit to not make it an option.

  • Oh wow. How did you manage to remove the weight from the watch as you scroll through?
  • Would make me so happy!

Did anyone answer this yet?

Just purchased mine today and I'm going to return tomorrow.

I spent most of the night trying to figure this out.

Returning for this reason.

Ridiculous

I am thinking she solved the issue by returning the watch.😉I too am going to have to return my watch because of this same issue. If I can choose which clock face to display, why can't I choose what stats I want displayed? This amounts to a privacy issue, there is no lock screen, anybody could pick up your watch and see all your personal stats displayed. If my privacy isn't currently their top priority, I simply won't buy their watch, until it is.

Hey! Sorry! I love my FitBit, my weight is not on my watch anymore. I wish I could post a picture. It only shows the stats I want. It shows the “scale” but no number as I scroll through. Not sure what I did... Played in settings on the app and it disappeared. I’m sorry I’m not more help! But it’s gone now so ... I don’t want to mess with it and accidentally bring it back.

It’s simply awful that this is still an issue. Why have Fitbit not removed this??

my replacement Fitbit has started to fail (more dead lines along the screen) that and the with issue is making me think I won’t be a Fitbit customer for much longer.

Really sad, as I had always been a big fan and recommend them.

Glad it worked for your daughters. I’m sorry Fitbit are making our next generation suffer with weight issues,

unfortunately that solution won’t work for many as most people know both pounds and kilos.

I really wish I could help. All I see when I scroll through is the “scale” but no number. I’m not sure why it’s gone or what I did. But it’s not there anymore. The face I’m using is the “Retro Double Stat” and when I scroll “up” to see my active hours, floors, etc, the scale shows up but that’s it. I wish I could attach a pic to show it.
