I just got my fit bit to weeks ago and dropped it when putting on and the screen already cracked. I just talked to fit pit about this and they said that there is nothing that they can do and they cannot repair the screen. They basically told me to throw in the trash and buy a new one. That seems crazy! How can you offer an expensive product and not offer a repair service. That would be like buying a new car and when it gets a flat tire saying sorry but we have no way of repairing cars so you will need to buy a new one... if something like this is not covered under warranty they should at least offer a service where you can get the screen replaced for fee instead of throwing it away every time you crack the screen. The reason I got the charge three it’s because it’s waterproof and with a cracked screen it’s no longer waterproof.

Same thing just happened to me, after a couple of weeks of owning a Fitbit Versa... screen cracked. Such a high cost item, it should have good quality materials, what a scam.

One might as well pour salt on an open wound. My sense was a Christmas Gift. All I can say I doubt I would buy a replacement after 2 weeks and my screen cracked. Fitbit must be on crack not to offer ANY HELP and the extended warranty, it’s a crock.

I’ll never buy another one. Especially if their lifetime is 1-3 years.

Granted this is over 3 years after you posted the initial question but maybe Fitbit has changed their policy. I bought my Fitbit Versa 3 almost year ago so it's still under warranty. It fell off my wrist today ) band disconnected on it's own on one side) and completely shattered the screen when it hit the driveway concrete. Called Fitbit, and within minutes the guy was taking my address to send a completely new one, including band and charger etc. He also said the size I needed was going to be delayed by two days due to back order so her ordered me the larger one to use until the small band arrives. No charge for anything and the guy was super polite and didn't argue with me at all. Maybe because this was a product malfunction? I can't figure out why they replaced mine no problem and they wouldn't do the same for yours. Was yours under warranty? (Anyway, I'm super happy with the result on mine. Go Fitbit! Great customer service. Maybe they've learned something since the original question here was posted?)

Same thing happened to me. I have a versa 3. I looked at all the fitbits for over 6 months trying to figure out which one I wanted and to be able to afford to buy that for myself, so happy when I finally was able to. I don't think I had it even 6 months and the charger fried literally burnt the part that attaches to the watch. Fitbit did replace the charger connection so that was great. But considering how new my Fitbit was, I was down for over a week or two because of that incident and now still less than a year old and the screen is cracked. BUMMED OUT!
I went to the pool with my 5-year-old granddaughter and had my Versa 3 inside my towel. Needless to say, when I wasn't looking my granddaughter picked up my towel and accidentally dropped my Fitbit on the concrete. I now know Gorilla Glass isn't tougher than concrete. I'm so sad.

I'm on the boycott bandwagon too. This is my third Fitbit two of them less than a year. Although they did help me when I needed the new charger, they haven't always been very helpful. If they can't offer repair service and they can't offer good support maybe it's time to go somewhere else.
