After downloading the new firmware for the Charge 3 my screen no longer wakes when rotating my wrist. I either have to double tap the screen or press the side button to wake the screen. Holding the side button in no longer takes me to a menu either. The device just vibrates 3 times when the side button is held. I restarted the device and continue to have the issues.
Any recommendations?

Have you tried holding button down twice? That should bring up screen wake page. If it isnt already turned on, turn it on.
Yes, it actually just worked and I was able to fix it. I tried several times today and it would just vibrate 3 times rather than take me to the menu.
Thanks!
How did you get it to work? I noticed this issues as well the past few days. I noticed I could access the quick settings once randomly last night in bed. Now I can't at all. It just vibrates a couple of times, and so on.
Edit: I soft-reset the watch by plugging into charging cable, held button down for 8 seconds, released (saw smiley face) and then let it reboot. I immediately noticed that the Quick Settings were back to normal, and I was able to fix the wake screen setting. I'd recommend others try this too.
Thanks for helping Chris! I had the same problem. Your instructions fixed it so easily. Thanks, koolforkatz!
Best AnswerMy screen is black and dosent turn on no matter how many times I flick my rist hold down on the side or tap!
i had this problem before and I restiveness ot to this one but same problem any suggestions
Best AnswerI also don't have a screen wake button.
Best AnswerDid it suppose to switch screen rotation off during sleep hours, when notifications are also off
Best AnswerIt seems that I have to turn my wrist in just the right manner to get the watch face to come on. If I flick it too fast, it won't come on. Works best when turning slowly which is a real hassle to always have to be aware of how quickly I turn my wrist. I usually end up tapping it or pushing the button on the side. If i have a watch on my arm, I want to be able to see the time without having to think about how to get the face to light up. Possibly the developers could work on this issue.
I had the same problem and this solution fixed it.
For those who didn't see, when you hold the button for a few seconds there are two settings to manage, the "screen wake" and the "notifications". When they're off, they are dimmed down!
I'm aware of the Screen Wake setting and it's set to on but I still have issues with the watch "waking" up when I turn my wrist to see the time.
Worked. Thanks.
