Setting pool length on Charge 4

So far, I am unable to work out how to set pool length. The on line suggestions are use profile settings, and then ‘advanced settings’ but I don’t have the ’advanced settings’ option anywhere ! Am I missing something? Or do I need ‘Fitbit’ premium ?

On tracker, when you get to the 'Swim' Exercise Shortcut in the Exercise App, scroll down and you will see 'Pool Length' and 'Units'.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks for this but no option to scroll down with “Swim”. Is this available on Standard or is Premium required. Other activities all have scroll down menus but not the swim option.

Actually, I’ve sorted it. Thanks for the tip. My pool is an odd on at 18 m in length and I like to do 1 km a day. I’ve worked out how many lengths but will be good to see it.

Did you manage to scroll down with Swim, or find some other way around it?

On the 'Swim' display (and other places), you should see a little arrow at the bottom; that indicates there are more screen below.

How did you fix it? Mine is the same!

I didn’t and the Fitbit didn’t last. The strap snapped off and though I clipped it back on I was unaware the main casing was damaged so when I swam, water got in and killed the Fitbit.
I am now a proud Apple Watch owner and I can set pool length without a problem. It tells me how many lengths of each stroke, counts the lengths for you m, shoes heart rate, average speeds, calories  and even length by length speed etc.
Fitbit is great for land based stuff, in my opinion, but really isn’t geared up for the pool. If swimming is your thing I’d look to getting something else. It doesn’t need to be Apple, there are others out there for swimmers. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

Hi sally, I know you got a different watch but could you share how you managed to change the pool length on your old Fitbit please? I have the charge 4 and can’t change the pool length thank you 🙂

Hi Amy, I have just done this today. I had to use the Fitbit app to add the 'Swim' exercise shortcut to my Charge 4.

Once you select the Swim shortcut on your Charge 4 you can scroll up to see the Pool Length and Units.

Tap the default figure of 25 metres and you can then modify the value.

I tried this but you can’t tap on the swim short cut unless you want to delete it. Do I am at a loss

I even tried to delete the swimming shortcut and add it again but it didn’t give me any options.

The adjustment is made on the Charge 4 itself, not on the phone app.

I can't post a photo or video to demonstrate but the animated 'swim' icon needs to be scrolled up.

There is a very small ^ below it.
