Sleep Insights not working.

I realise there has been a thread on this subject before but it says it was solved although it didn't really seem to solve the problem. I have a Charge 2 with the Android App and I used to get regular sleep insights on my phone but for a while now i don't get any at all. The sleep insights are enabled in the settings but for some reason they have just stopped. Has anyone any ideas as to why please?

Hey there @Lego999, it's nice to see you here! Sleep stages will be recorded automatically. However, you need to have 90 minutes of sleep data in order to show sleep stages. I would like you to restart your tracker and keep an eye on your sleep data.

Additionally, you can learn more about sleep stages by checking this article.

Hope this helps. Smiley Very Happy

Hi MarreFitbit,

Thanks for your reply. The sleep stages work fine, it's the sleep insights that aren't working anymore. These were the pop-ups that appeared when you opened sleep and gave you various insights into your sleep pattern. You could either like or dislike them. As I said previously, they are enabled in settings but don't appear anymore.

Thanks for getting back @Lego999! Can you double check if your insights are turn on? Sleep insights are turned on by default, maybe they were turned off by mistake.

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the sleep tile. This is the tile that says "How did you sleep?" or, if you tracked sleep the night before, shows how many hours and minutes you slept.
  2. Tap the gear in the top right.
  3. Find the option to turn off sleep insights.

PS: Don't forget to make sure that your Fitbit app is up-to-date.

Keep me posted!

Hi MarreFitbit,

I've double checked and insights is definitely turned on. The app is up to date and I have restarted my charge 2 but still no insights.
Cheers,

Mine disappeared for 3 nights after updating to the latest Android app version. I've seen others with the same. Then they came back last night.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Just like the Fitbit user here, my sleep insights haven't been working since the IOS update on both my iPhone and iPad, even though it says they are turned on. What should I do?

Hi I have the same problem can you advise?

Hi, still nothing to report i'm afraid. Fitbit are aware of the problem and are still working on it. They advised me to change my settings to English USA rather than English UK as they believed that it would be a work around until the problem was fixed properly but that made no difference at all.

So, unfortunately still no sleep insights!!

I am also having this issue. Have updated the app, checked to make sure Sleep Insights is on, restarted my Fitbit Charge 2 and nothing. How do I fix this?

Nope. It’s been more than a month, too

Hi everyone! I also have the same issue.

It's been almost half a year now, I've sent them a couple of emails, they said they know about the issue, working on it blah blah blah... Unfortunately it looks like they don't do anything about it after all.

Seems like they develop the products to last for only a couple of years before customers are "encouraged" to purchase the next model to keep full functionality of the one we already have... I am disappointed about the quality, but that's it now... looks like there's nothing else we can do. Sad, but true...
