My steps on main screen are accurate, when I click on the steps and breaks it down by the hours, its showing significantly less steps.

Do you have MobileTrack activated on your Fitbit app?

To verify it please tap on your profile picture. You 'll see the Fitbit devices, and features linked to your account. 

 

If you see MobileTrack, please remove it. Tap on it and on the button to remove the feature. 

 

This feature, will measure your steps, using the movement of your phone, and sometimes overwrite the info recorded by your Charge 4.
