Hello,
Got my fitbit as a gift. Started using it around January 20, 2019. About 3-4 days ago, my fitbit Charge 2 has started counting new steps constantly all day even when I'm not moving. My fitbit has come up in more than 75,000 steps, counting lots of stairs and no sleep. Has tried to restart my fitbit, which it did but the numbers are not reset and the steps continue to increase. Is it possible to fix my fitbit? As it is now, it is completely wrong.
Greetings, Crazy steps

@Stepsgoingcrazy Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 is counting steps while you aren't moving. Are you near any vibrating surface? Do you drive at work or during long hours? Do you have any third party apps linked to your account? Have you manually logged any activities? Could you share a screenshot of your activities area from your Fitbit account?
I look forward to your reply!

I have the same issue; I average maybe 6-7,000 steps, yet my device has shown up to 19,000. It is not near any vibration sources, I don't drive all that much, don't have any 3rd party apps linked to it, and haven't logged anything manually. It has worked fine for most of the year I've had it. Not clear to me how to upload activities screenshot attached. Can you explain why it's adding steps?

Hello,
No, I don't have any vibrations while working, do not drive a lot. I'm working at an office and I do not move a lot really. I got the fitbit to motivate me to start exercise a bit bore. Fitbit is still counting steps and hartrates, floors etc. but no sleep... I let it run out of batterie, restarted the fitbit but still the same problem. I'm so sorry because I liked it a lot when it was working, though just a couple of weeks, it's brand new.
I'll show you some attached screenshots. Greetings Madeleine
