My steps are not registering in my challenges. My dashboard is syncd and showing steps but not pulling through to challenges. Anyone have any idea?

Hi @Tope
I have had this bug happen to me before as well. Try to send a quick messing within the challenge, Like "Hi". When this happened to me previously, I sent a message and my stats showed up. Hopefully this will help you too! Let us know if it helps!

Hi, apparenty if you post a message in the challenge it resolves the issue. Just tried it myself and it worked.

Hi @Shelka, what problem are you having? In the challenge are your steps showing up as 0, or are they showing up different than your dashboard? What type of challenge is it, and was it started in your time zone or a different time zone?
As @CMeyer2001 asked, may we have more information? Is none of your steps showing, as in it shows zero, or is it not they expected step count you believe it should be?
Have you manually added steps? These will not be transferred to challenges.
Is the challenge being run in the same timezone?
With several of my friends when they start a weekly challenge, for me it may start as early as 11am on Sunday. If I start it, for them it may start as late as 1pm on Monday.
Best AnswerMine isn't recording the full amount of steps to the challenges either. When you say manually recording steps, what do you mean...i didn't see a way to manually add steps...
Mine does this too. I'm in the same timezone as my competitors I live in the same city. My account will say I've done 5k steps and it will only sync 500 to the challenge. I've sent messages etc tried removing the app reseting my fit bit and syncing via my computer and nothing works. I've never manually added steps either. It's really starting to make me not want to compete.
Have you tried sending a message to the challenge as pointed out in the solution? Many have found that this was enough to get the steps synced.
Other than that, unless you have access to the Fitbit servers...
Best AnswerHas the solution worked for you because I'm having the same problems I know my steps are there I don't know how to do it manually didn't know we could but I don't want to that anyway. Just want it to post to the challenges correctly but in all my challenges I've known I've either finished way ahead of others or beforehand and it is not syncing me to the challenge or at the end so I'm not placing so it is getting annoying.
I write in the challenge quite regularly. Generally to tell them how many steps I've actually done but it still doesn't sync. I've noticed it's only when I'm in a challenge with certain people as I currently have 3 active challenges and it's only not syncing on 1
This did not work for me. I removed my device and reinstalled and did the reset thing too. It syncs to the phone, steps, stairs, etc, but the challenge won’t sync. Restarted my phone, too. Any other ideas? This is the first challenge i’ve Done since the new update, so i bet its related to that!
Nope . I am still facing the same problem. It seems like this issue is been reported more than 1 year back but still Fitbit people didn’t fix it.
i tried all the below things still not working.
- reinstalled the Fitbit app
- sent a short message in challenge group
- switched on the “do not disturb “ button
still kot working.
