I read an article from January 2020 that said the ability to use the Charge 3 as a pulse oximeter was coming soon. I saw one other thread about this with people saying that FitBit was awaiting approval to activate this feature, but that the sensor does exist on the Charge 3. Given the urgency of being able to measure one's oxygen levels during the coronavirus pandemic, will FitBit be rolling out this feature anytime soon?

It tracks your variation during the night but as far as I know there's no way to get an on the spot reading like you do with your heart rate.

Have a look at this help file: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1876/
According to that, it's already available for the Charge 3
Does your app and fitbit have the latest software updates?

Best AnswerThank you for responding, I did see the graph that shows variations when I track my sleep, but I tend not to wear the Fitbit at night. It would be great if they could functionality that would measure the spO2 in real time, like your heart rate.
Thank you for responding. Yes, my Fitbit is up to date, and it does track the variations during Sleep, but I tend not to wear the Fitbit at night. I am hoping Fitbit can add functionality that would measure the spO2 in real time, since they already have the sensor built in.

I had a quick look at the Feature Suggestions list to see if anyone had proposed this before but couldn't find anything. Perhaps you'd like to propose it yourself at https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/idb-p/features
Best AnswerI just got a charge 3 because it said it had the 02 sensor. I don't see a area to check 02. So does it track it only when sleeping?? Will it be in real time like heart rate??
Best AnswerI was on a different thread that the FITBIT community locked for some reason...
Anyway, I gave up and bought a Garmin vivosmart 4... still getting used to the functionality but I can get my oxygen reading whenever I want which is super nice... right now it's 97%... Like I said, not thrilled with the functionality with the garmin, but it does what the charge 3 never did for me... which is why I got it in the first place a month after it was release for $149.99... I got the garmin for $79.99 at BJ's wholesale online (if you don't have a membership you can get a one day pass...
Anyway, goodbye fitbit... it's been... real? ha!
