Texts are working again

I was quite surprised today when I got a text message notification with the text on my Charge 2 today.  
Don't know how or when it got resolved, but alas I got text messages today.

Mine starting working yesterday. I do see the Fitbit app updated yesterday too so I'm assuming that the update fixed the problem. I hadn't been getting text messages for a few months until then.

My texts are still not working.  I’ve done all the updates and the suggestions.  I’m finally getting reminders.  Just not notifications of texts or calls

Well notifications stopped working again. Only worked for a few days.

I am getting so annoyed!  I have tried everything.  No text notifications for 2 weeks now.

I still can’t get it to work... I’ve called twice and my next call is going to ask to get credit towards getting a model that will receive notifications... this is very frustrating as they don’t seem to want to address the issue

Ok I’m sorry I think I read your message wrong.  I am trying a few more things now see if I can figure something out.  My issue started with the last software update on my iPhone.  I will let you know if I have any luck!

Mine is working now!  Do you have an iPhone?  So what I did was I went to settings on my iPhone, Notifications, Messages and I changed show previews to Always. I turned my phone off and back on.  I had my husband send me a text and it worked!!!  Let me know if this helps you!

Yes!  Me too!  That is why I am so excited and surprised it worked this time.  I started at the App Store and updated my Fitbit app and then I did the steps I mentioned earlier so idk but I did everything before for the past month.  This time it actually works and has worked for the past 3 hours.  It really wouldn’t hurt to try again.  You have nothing to lose really.

Mine text notifications are now working.  No idea what fixed it.  Probably all the shutting off, resetting, etc finally took, lol.

Yay!!!  I’m glad it finally worked for you!

Yeah. Only thing that’s annoying is that, in order to make it work... I had to set my messages to always preview on my phone . I had it set to only show who was sending the message, not the actual message. (For privacy reasons). Now it shows the messages. I turned it back to the way it was, and they stopped working again. So, don’t like that part.

Yes, I know. I like my privacy too.  So you have to go to settings, notifications, messages and uncheck the Lock Screen under alerts.  Turn your phone off and back on.  That way when people message you it will not show on the lock screen but still alert you on the fitbit.  Hope this helps.
