Tracking runs with GPS

Hi!

So I recently upgraded my phone from a Sony Xperia to Samsung Galaxy Note 9, and now my runs aren't tracked with the GPS. I would like to have the nice route on the map after I've been outside for a run, I can connect my Fitbit Charge 2 in the beginning of the exercise, but when I'm done and want to look at the map, I only have a straight line from the beginning of the route, and I'm actually running on a round route, but I only get a straight line and I see on my Fitbit when I'm turning off the tracking of my exercise that the phone symbol is crossed over, like when you can't connect to the GPS.

Is there anything I need to do in order to get this to work with my phone?

It worked the first two times I was out, then I did some software updates on my phone and after that it's not holding the connection with my Fitbit, I can only connect the GPS tracking in the beginning, then I think it loses it on the way.

Br,

Elin

@MrsGullman, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 and your GPS maps. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.
