Update issues

My charge 4 won’t update! My phone and charge 4 have been next to each other for 8 hours and on charge. Now the charge 4 won’t even come on. I’ve pressed and held down the button for 10 seconds and nothing comes up no smiley face nothing it just vibrates. My phone keeps showing it needs to update but after 30 secs it shows that I need to click it again and again. What do I need to do?

Don't do the recent update. A bunch of people including myself are having serious battery drain issues with the new firmware. My fitbit only lasts 2 to 3 hours now. You may have lucked out that it won't update on yours

I am one of those who did the update and now my Fitbit won’t hold a charge. 

what are the next steps?

You could try what some people have suggested might work. They put their fitbit on the charger to full charge. Then hold the fitbit button for about ten seconds until it restarts and shows the smiley face. Then let it continue to charge. Apparently that fixed it for some people. No luck for me though. I'm just leaving mine at home for now since 3 hours holding charge is pretty worthless. Maybe fitbit will just roll back the last update if we're lucky

I tried that this morning and it didn’t work. I’m hoping like you that Fitbit will pay attention and fix this issue.

I don’t know if my problem started with this update, or earlier:

There’s a discrepancy this morning where the front page says 16% 48min Awake, but two pages in it says Awake 30m in the Deep and REM page.

When you click on the Sleep Stages picture, at the top it says Awake 10% 30m.

I didn't do the update, but it updated anyway - another having major battery drain issues - don't do the update till they fix it
