From the FITBIT PRESS RELEASE for the Charge 3:
“Fitbit continues to make advancements in sleep and is announcing a new Sleep Score beta from Fitbit Labs that will be available to Fitbit users later this year. Using key metrics tracked by any Fitbit device with advanced 24/7 PurePulse heart rate tracking, Sleep Score will provide a nightly score to help give you a more complete picture of your overall sleep quality and what factors aect it.
In addition, for devices with a relative SpO2 sensor, including Charge 3, Fitbit IonicTM and Fitbit VersaTM, Fitbit will test the tracking of breathing disruptions, which can be indicators of health issues such as allergies, asthma or sleep apnea.”
YES. it said Later this (last) year, when will be it available ?

Hi, the lab link does not bring any news about Charge 3.
This device has been a true disappointment to me.
The SPO2 sensor is a new kind of vaporware, physically it exists but does not work.
The step counting is so off that makes it useless. Iv'e applied all suggestions and still counts 350 steps from my bed to my toilet (luckily it is closer), every day it counts in excess of 3000 steps.
Unfortunately I let pass the return date while trying to fix everything.
This was my last FitBit device ever.

Amazing Amazon.
I'm still in the return period.
I returned Fitbit Charge 3 yesterday.
Now some feedback to Fitbit.
Charge 3 user interface is fantastic. Device is confortable and the HR sensor is accurate. Sleep insights are the best.
But the SPO2 sensor is fake. Should not be advertised at all.
And the step counting accuracy is miserable. For someone in need for motivation to walk, overestimating the steps leads to the opposite result.
And last, your vague answers and lame solutions here in the community were the drop that made me return the device.
GodbyGo and fairwell.

I am too disappointed, Hope FitBit releases this feature sooner than later. Else it's a cheat game and marketing BS !

Hi fitbit - Any more updates? I was told when I bought mine for Christmas that it would be early this year - still waiting for the spo2 software!!

I totally agree. The SPO2 sensor should not even be mentioned by Fitbit. Nearly a year and a half after it first was announced on the Ionic ... the data has yet to be available for the end user. They get around this by how they worded the inclusion of the SPO2 sensor as possible future functionality. I mean they might as well release a new "Fitbit Versa Money" and in the press release announce that it prints real legal tender money at the tap of a screen. Then have a disclaimer that this feature may never actually be available. It is about the same thing they have done with SPO2. Every time I give Fitbit another chance, they always let me down. I find I am wearing the Charge 3 less and less. I honestly wear my Withings watch more now. If someday they announce the SPO2 sensor has been activated for the end user to see the data, I will start wearing the watch again. Until that day, I'm done with Fitbit again. This company is so so frustrating.

I've also moved to Withings (Sports HR).
Not as good as Charge 3 in things like: sleep tracking (even without the SPO2) and HR tracking.
But Sports HR has way better accuracy in step counting, and battery lasts for more then 2 weeks.
And does not advertises false features.

We got one more firmware update which Fitbit claims to be progressive update but hope at least next update will include SPO2.

You work for Fitbit?
No SPO2, I'm returning it.
False advertising is not acceptable.

I was going to buy a Fitbit charge 3. After reading these comments and the total avoidance of giving any real answers I will stick to checking my own pulse with my watch and a finger on my neck.

Is the Charge 3 ever going to have the spo2 function, or was this this only ever a false marketing ploy?

At the moment I presume delay in launch of SPo2 on charge 3 is fitbit's inability rather than marketing ploy and it may never happen.

For couple of days, Some news making rounds ( tech sites engadget) that spo2 ( sleep apnea) is functional for some users on the spo2 sensor equipped devices like charge3 , versa etc. Did anyone from this thread get a chance to look at it?
