it is asking me to change my passcode, it is asking me to enter my current passcode, which I do and I have to enter Continue, but when I do, it keeps coming back to the same screen again, asking to enter the passcode. I am positive I am entering the correct one since I was able to login on computer

Let me help you with the passcode requirement. Could you share a screenshot of what you are seeing on your account? Try restarting your phone. If you are using an Android device go to settings > apps > Fitbit and clear the data there.
