One day my Charge 2 was fine and suddenly is stops syncing.   I went thru all the steps to 'fix' it multiple times.  

Now I am told since I am just past my warranty, Fitbit can do nothing for me.   I have been a Fitbit user for years and the customer service was one of reasons.  But that has definitely changed.   

No more Fitbit for me!

You are more than well out of warranty. The Charge 3 came out in 2018 and now the Charge 4 is out. Even if they wanted to replace it, I doubt there would be any in stock. Talk to customer service again and see if they will offer you a discount on a New Charge 4. I think that you will like it much better. It even has built in GPS to track your walks/runs/bikes.
