Connection difficulties with Inspire HR and iOS

My Inspire that I purchased last summer stopped working. I put it on the charger Monday and when I took it off it was blank. I thought it just hadn't charged so I put it back on the charger again but it showed a full battery and the incorrect date. I went to my app and it wasn't showing as connected. I went to FitBit help and the community for help and followed the instructions on how to reload it. I deleted the Inspire on my phone, shut of Bluetooth, then turned it back on and tried to add the device. It took several tries at this before it finally got as far as inputting the code, but that does not show up on the device.  I have an iPhone XR running on 13.4.1.

Hi @djmicheals, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!

First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your iOS mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.

Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.

Keep me posted, I'll be around if you need anything else.

I got it to work again but the battery keeps draining at the end of the day and it frequently rolls back to steps at or below 1,000.

At this point, I am really disappointed in FitBit.  The devices are just not designed well.  They only really last a year or so and seems to be designed to be disposable. Since you phased out the One it to has gone down hill. I have gone through probably five devices since then.

Your update is appreciated @djmicheals.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and personal experience with your Fitbit devices, if I was in your position I'd probably feel the same way. Since you're experiencing a different issue, now with the battery life of your Inspire HR, please check this help article for tips and recommendations to extend its battery life. This article also includes a restart process that will refresh the device's performance.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.
