Don’t install updates!!!!

I installed the latest update on my inspire HR and immediately started having problems. It wouldn’t hold a charge as long and this morning it died completely. I chatted with customer service, but none of the fixes worked. I’m 3 months outside of my warranty so they are doing nothing to help. They offered me a measly discount on the purchase of a new item, but I find this incredibly insulting given that their update is what caused the problem. I have been a huge proponent of Fitbit for 4 years. I’ve loved both of my fitbits I’ve had. I have even purchased them as gifts for family. Well not anymore!  They have no loyalty to their loyal customers! Bottom line if you’re outside your warranty DO NOT install any updates. IT WILL ruin your device and Fitbit won’t help.

so I'm not a Fitbit moderator but I think I can help. I suggest even if you have already factory reset the device then uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app on your phone. Reply and keep me updated if this works.

I did that and now it won't connect at all. Turns out Fitbit has a problem with Huawei phones even if they met the requirements. So again, updates have ruined the option to use a Fitbit for me because it was working just fine for ages before the updates. Thanking you for helping though. 🙂

Now 2022. Hr2 just updated. Its rubbish. I want to reverse the update. How?

There’s no way to reverse the update. It ultimately ruined my device and I was forced to buy a new one. Because I was outside of the warranty, Fitbit claimed they could not replace the device. That replacement device just stopped working last month. Fitbit again claimed they can’t do anything because I was just outside of my warranty period. The moral of the story is pick another company if you want a device that lasts. You can stick with Fitbit if you like upgrading your device regularly. But if you want something that will last beyond a year Fitbit is not the company for you.

Thanks for your email. So glad someone responded. That's great, the last
thing we need in this climate is spending more money!
