Fitbit Inspire not resetting

My fitbit inspire 2 has stopped resetting at midnight.  I have called fitbit help and followed all of their instructions and it still isn't working.  It has also stopped showing my text messages. Today's steps are  twice of what was showing yesterday, I deleted the app and reset my fitbit and reinstalled the app but as soon as I logged in it set everything back to being at 68000 steps.  My fitbit is only 7 months old.  I had my charge for years and never had an issue.

Hi thank you for your response. I have tried restarting and there hasn't been daylight savings for a while and this just started recently.  I have contacted customer service 4 times now and followed all of their steps and no one was able to help yet.    It will work ok for a few days then stops resetting again.  I have also tried the steps you recommended for texts and that did not work either. Any other suggestions? Thanks 😊

@TaraB1 Welcome to the Community.

Sorry to hear about this and thank you for reaching out to our Support team. This may happen when there is a  change in timezone (due to travel or Daylight Savings Time changes).  You can restart your device as this will help it reset the following midnight but it won’t remove the steps from the affected date.

Regarding the text messages you can try the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Hope this helps.
