Fitbit needs disconnected then reconnect everytime I need to since steps, Will no longer track sleep, or push notifications after recent update.

Is there anything I can do to fix it?

I have tried to reset and reboot it with no luck.

@TBeattie It's good that the community is growing!

Let me help you with your Inspire not syncing after updating it. The lack of syncing will affect the notifications too so you can try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here and here.

Regarding the sleep detection, your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.

Let me know how it goes.
