Fitbit Inspire setup difficulty

Help please, just brought a Fitbit inspire and the screen is just saying fitbit set up. I have downloaded the Fitbit app and when I try to add the device it just keeps telling me to touch the screen but nothing happens it just keeps saying Fitbit setup.
