Fitbit won't sync since update

I have not been able to get my Inspire HR or my daughter's Ace to sync since the latest update. I only noticed yesterday, but they have not sync-ed since Tuesday the 18th. I have tried restarting the app, restarting my phone, restarting the Fitbit, updating the app, turning Bluetooth off and on, unpairing and re-pairing the watch, and syncing to alternate devices (and turning Bluetooth/the other devices off when trying): my android phone (Samsung SM J320V), a windows computer that it has previously paired fine with, and a new MacBook air. Nothing has worked, and I am getting extremely frustrated. I have been using Fitbit products since 2016, and while I've definitely had some syncing issues previously, this is the first time I've been completely unable to resolve one. It seems to clearly be an issue with the update as both watches are doing the same thing, and previously worked just fine. Help please!

Mine hasn't synced since Tuesday.  I updated the software that day.  It's telling me I need to update my settings - location permission to sync.  It was already updated.  I just enabled bluetooth, and now it synced my Wednesday steps. When I went to sync again to get the rest of the week, it offered the new 30 minute update, so I am doing that now.  Maybe that will solve all!

Just finished the update - all seems to be working now.

So, I noticed this past Thursday evening (8/27) that my Fitbit was keeping the right time again (the time had gotten about 5 minutes slow since it stopped syncing, with no way to change it, so that was fun), so checked and it was syncing again! This was after trying everything repeatedly, but then having given up on it for a while; don't think it was due to anything I did. The only thing I can think of is that the day before that, I'd finally gotten an email from Fitbit support with some things to try, and they noted that they'd checked my Fitbit on the "back-end" and confirmed it hadn't been syncing since 8/18. I'm wondering if that back-end check somehow kicked it back into gear?

Am hoping the same happens for my daughter's Ace though, because it is still not syncing and now I don't want to try messing with the app any more for fear mine will stop working again...

Final update: a couple days ago, after a month and a half of refusing to sync, my daughter's Ace finally started syncing again. Randomly. Hopefully both of ours keep working now. Super frustrating, but I guess I'd just encourage anyone who's still having trouble to keep trying periodically.
