GPS miscalculating distance

Hi,

I have a little problem with my Inspire HR.

Yesterday I went inline skating and as there is not such workout, I tracked it as runnning as it seemed the closest thing from the menu.

When I finished, I was surprised it only said 7 kilometers, because actually it was 7 kms there, and 7 kms back according to the map. I checked the fitbit map and made sure the line is always there, because I lost the gps signal from time to time for a second, but the map of the workout is complete, with no distances missing.

I think that the device is calculating the distance based on the amount of steps times the step length, not the actual distance.

is there a way to change this somewhere in the menu, please?

thank you

@monious, it's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with the distance recorded for your activity. The feature is called Connected GPS. If you are having issues with the distance recorded via GPS then please try these suggestions to improve this situation.

Let me know how it goes.
