Hi I bought a Inspire HR today but when I turn on the screen I get grey vertical lines in the background. It looks a bit like a feint barcode. Should I take it back? Thanks. Kelly

Providing you can see the information on the screen, you should attempt to setup the device and complete the setup. There is a firmware update that may cure the malfunction.
Where did you buy it?

I have completed the setup and as far as I know it is up-to-date but how do I check? I got it from Argos. Thanks. Kelly

Ok the next thing would be to plug it into the charger and then hold down the button for about 5 to 6 seconds. The device will go blank temporarily and restart and show a smiley face.
Otherwise you have two options.
Contact Fitbit CS for assistance or take it back to the store. Preferably Fitbit first as they may have you do some troubleshooting.

Thank you for replying but that hasn't worked. I will take it back tomorrow and see what the shop says
