How to change date format inspire HR

Hey,

I saw a post (link below) that said that you can change the date format from MM/DD to the international format DD/MM.

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Ability-to-select-international-date-format-on-c...

I have tried what the post said but it doesn't work for me for some reason. Please see my screenshot for the settings I have set in the fitbit.com dashboard.Screenshot_20190601-232801__01.jpg

Is this just a bug or am I missing something?

Thanks for your help.

Hi

I am in Australia and we use DD/MM   not MM/DD

All of my settings are correct

Language and TImezone, but my watch still displays MM/DD

Am I missing something ?

Hi,

I don't think you can get it to display the date as DD/MM.  It will only use the american format.

The best you can get is for it to show the long month format (e.g.  Nov 18).

I thought I had posted the instructions for doing this, but I can no longer find it.  If I recall correctly it involves using the app on your phone and selecting a different clock face.

I can't check this as I decided to return the device and get my drinking vouchers returned.

Thanks , can anyone confirm this for me?  Seems like a weird restriction

I searched without success for a date/month format. It is quite ridiculous not to give the option, and arrogant too. In the end I changed the clock face not to show the date.

On fitbit phone app, click on your account (icon top left), select Discover / Clock faces.

Any date format and time etc can be adjusted by editing the clock face settings

No such clock face available. ONLY date format is US. There are other countries, you know.

When on clock menu and looking at a clocks settings, it's on that bit where
you edit it

Here is my post from 1st March 2020 (or possibility 3rd of January 2020 - it depends on which country you are in).

For those of you still hacked off about the date format, you could try changing the clock to "Just Time".

This is still US format but shows as "Jan 03", which at least has the decency to remind you it is in the wrong format.

I must say that this matter really turned me off Fitbits right from the very start but I did find a way to set the time and date as near as possible to an Australian acceptable format. You'll find your Fitbit useful for maybe several months but after a while you generate an exercise routine (and a healthy diet) that comes naturally and you'll end up doing it without the device. Honestly, it helps you at the start but when you start becoming fitter by default activity (walking and a step machine is my go-to), when you remember to put the Fitbit on, it's battery is flat so you just do what you have to do anyway. Yes, it's motivational stuff about how great you've been to do 10,000 steps in a day is good at the beginning, but you'll find it's also not something you want to be reminded about (wearing out knees for example) as you do keep going. Sometimes it good to do things in moderation which also gets results, maybe safer results. You won't need to be looking for a date or time as much because honestly, you'll have your Iphone, or the like, in your pocket when not at home and that too can do a whole range of step recordings and calorie counting with a much better interface and visual presentation.

Right from the start, because I don't want to have to put up with US date format, I chose a clock face without the date. I don't think this is satisfactory.

I live in Corsica, at the moment in Italy, and it is not possible to have European date format.

It isn't in the app settings or the basic settings but from different clock
face settings directly. So where one would change the colour of the digits,
change the widgets or the face layout is where this would be possible. This
is only true for certain clock faces and you have to look at each one
individually to see

Change the colour? Thought the Inspire HR was only black and white. Never seen another other colours on mine.
