Inspire 2- Tracking steps with arm swing

Why is my inspire 2 tracking each time my arm swings rather than my steps??

Because it is on your wrist.  There is no way for something on your wrist to know exactly what your legs are doing.  The only way to measure steps is to infer steps from the normal rhythmic swinging of your arms as when walking.  It has some filters to try to separate out some random arm movements but can never be precise.  For most people over the course of a full day, it comes fairly close.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi @Michelle_44  check out this article - click to read. If you wave your hand, knit, play the drums, do ASL you'll have more steps. If you're pushing a stroller or cart, walking with your hands in your pocket or holding something close to your chest while walking, you'll see fewer steps.
