Fit bit inspire 2 has a blank screen so I can’t see the 4 digit code to enter on my phone. I have followed all the steps at least 15 times today. It is connected by Bluetooth after I deleted the app and reinstalled, logged in etc, turned Bluetooth on and off. When forcing a restart the smiley face comes up
for a few seconds then disappears. I can’t even see if it is fully charged as I uninstalled and am trying to do a new set up. There are no green or red lights on the back either. Just vibrates after the smiley face comes up. Also can’t try the clock face as I can’t see the code to sync to the phone.
Any other ideas ???

I don’t even see my response anymore. ?? By my 3rd or 4th call, I think someone from customer service was addressing the problem. Is that no longer the case?

How can this issue be flagged "Answered” when clearly this is not the case?
Note that this problem only arose for me after a suggested Inspire 2 Firmware Update. Update went apparently fine, but the screen stayed blank / black after the update even though the sensor lights were working and the Fitbit was still vibrating.
Looked up Dr YouTube... tried all the suggested changing of charging, clockface change, plug in and restart umpteen times, etc. All remained the same... black screen, etc
Took the advise from this forum to remove the Inspire 2 from my account and then, unpaired and went through setup again. Of course, during that process the app asks for the 4 digit code, which is not visible on a the black / blank screen... back to the original problem and still “UNRESOLVED”

You have answered the question 100% correct. It really doesn't matter to Fitbit who is now owned by Google. It sounds like they are all going to be phased out in the next couple of years. Thank you for your post it is exactly what I have done and went through. I can't even access my Fitbit inspire 2 because of the black screen and no way to see a 4-digit code.
By saying this problem is answered I assume they can say it is solved! This is what is wrong with America today, companies just don't care anymore.
IT IS NOT SOLVED

I think they say ‘answered’ because the original post has been resolved.
Maybe, if you start a new thread along the same lines you might get somewhere but if you haven’t already contact them
in the end with mine I messaged Fitbit who told me because the watch was out of warranty there was nothing to be done. I persisted stating it had been fine until an update & that the watch was only just out of warranty. Eventually I was offered a % off a new watch and then after another team member looked into it I was offered a higher % off a new watch or a replacement watch unit (no strap) of the inspire.

I am happy for you that you received a new replacement watch. I also would have been satisfied with that. I talked with customer service at least 6-10 times trying to get an answer to this problem. I also went through many e-mails with them. All the answers were the same. You / we have done everything you / we can do, your inspire2 is out of warranty and there is nothing else we can do except give you a % off a new purchase. I don't think buying or should I say being forced to buy a new watch is a fair solution to a known issue with a software issue. Watches should last longer than 18 months! At this rate it cost me $8.33 a month to own this watch. This was their fault due to a firmware update or a problem with the product itself! Fitbit should be held accountable for their actions and not just be given a pass because they will give you a % off a new 150.00 watch or tracker. There are many people out there who put their trust in Fitbit and are unable to buy a new watch even with a % off especially if it is only going to last just past the warranty.

Same exact thing! At first i could only see clock. It would not scroll. After troubleshooting it said to reboot. So I plugged it in and held the sides 10 seconds until the smile face came up. Then it went blank. Never came back. It was at 70% charge when this happened. I was able to use app to change clock face, saw install line on screen, and back to black. Steps are tracking on phone. But very annoyed. I have had this fitbit just over a year. This is my third fitbit. My ulta lasted almost 3 years. My charge 4 lasted 2 years. This inspire 2 lasted 1.5 years. Im done with fitbit.

I completely agree with you - they clearly aren’t bothered.
It had been a few weeks after all my messaging and being told there was nothing to be done that I received an email from Fitbit offering the replacement ‘watch unit’. I’d decided to buy an alternative watch
