Inspire HR Randomly Starts Tracking Exercise

Spoiler
I just got my Inspire HR yesterday and it keeps going to the menu to track exercise. This happens even when I'm not actively touching it and it is a real pain to stop the exercise tracking on the tiny screen.
This happened again just now as I am sitting down working. It started a "Run" twice without my pushing.
Is there a way to disable manual tracking from the device so that it only auto tracks exercise and I can manually input additional exercise in the app? A day in and I am really not impressed.

Welcome to the Community Forums @TravisHere, thanks for sharing the details of the issue that you're currently having with your new Inspire HR.

I understand how you feel, we've received feedback about the sensitivity of the screen. Please confirm that you've checked that screen wake is toggled off by holding down the button on Inspire and tapping on 'Screen Wake'. Note: even with screen wake turned off, your screen will still light up when double tapped.

Now, thanks to your feedback and other comments from our users, as mentioned above we’re aware of this. We're working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

I just bought my Inspire HR yesterday (July 17) and have had the same problem.  I'm glad I found this post.  I've been really searching for an answer.  I turned off the screen wake and will see if it helps.  It's been very frustrating that the stopwatch keeps coming on while I'm not anything.

I’m having the same problem even with the screen wake toggled off it’s still happening and I think it’s omg my Fitbit battery to die faster as well since it’s constantly vibrating to turn on. My battery doesn’t even last an 8 hour work day sometimes

I gave up on the watch. I don't wear it. Maybe there's a fix, but I don't
have time to try and find it.

Hi do you have any update on how to fix this? I have had his device for five days and this started yesterday.

This happens all the time! It is the worst and would not recommend this Fitbit to anyone. Sorry you bought it! I’ve been telling all my friends, family and coworkers not to buy the inspire HR for that reason. I end some days with over 10 phantom runs or wake up and have been running for hours in my sleep.

Hi is there any update? The issue is still happening regularly. It’s very frustrating that the device doesn’t function properly. I requested to return the device but I threw away the original packing so I could not.

That's been my issue as well

No answer or response since the problem was supposedly "solved" more than a year ago and yet users continue to report this issue.

I have been experiencing it on an intermittent basis for as long as I have had my Fitbit and it seems to be more frequent lately. Very annoying. My "Screen Wake" is and always has been off.

Hey Fitbit: If you're not going to pay any attention to your community members and you're not going to fix this issue, at least be honest about the fact that you don't give a **ahem** and that you hold your users in contempt and shut down this so-called community forum.
