Inspire HR issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This week my Inspire HR recorded me sleeping from 4:30 pm to 1:30 am and similar incorrect hours for 3 consecutive days. In addition, exercise is not being tracked correctly - when I go to 'add exercise' after boot camp, it adds minutes but does not show heart rate information, or calories burned (it says 'null'). My device is up to date, the time zone is correct and my heart rate is showing on my device. Notifications to 'get up an move' are inconsistent as well.

Hi, @bbgun48 , have you tried giving your Inspire HR a restart?  That is usually the first troubleshooting step whenever a Fitbit is not behaving as expected.  To restart:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

It’s worth repeating the process a couple of times, as sometimes a single restart is not effective.

As for your stats showing as null, you might check again later, as sometimes not all stats sync through at the same time.

I hope this helps.  Welcome to the forums!

Thanks. I had read the previous posts on the topic and I have done a restart, but the ‘null’ stats remain. I will see if the restart helps.

Having the exact same issue for four days now. It used to work fine then all of a sudden it stopped and it’s so frustrating. I hope they come up with a legit fix because restarting isn’t doing anything at all.

Hi, @neshahudson , are you using iOS?  Apparently there have been some issues in the past few days with iOS users having some problems with calorie and distance stats (and possibly some others).  The engineering team is aware and working on a fix, so hopefully it will be back to normal soon!

I hope so, because it is highly frustrating. And whey problems now? Retarting definitely isn’t helping.

Yes, no help restarting for me either. And if it is an IOS problem, why all of a sudden?

It was out of the blue I hope they fix it ASAP especially since it’s become such a widespread issue so quickly!

I finally found the 'official' thread on this acknowledged by FitBit:

So after many different attempts at restarting, logging out, removing devices and reinstalling the app, it seems that my Inspire is back on track (ha ha). It was fine when I logged my interval workout this morning and also when I went for a walk - I got my pace and my map as well as all my usual stats that had been missing. I was literally one step away from getting an Apple Watch! Sleep times seem to be correct - at least they are at the right time of day. Dodged a bullet there, FitBit!
