Inspire HR losing data when syncing

I had 12,000 steps today.  Took my watch off to shower and napped, put it back on and now an am 9,000 steps.  When I unsync the watch and restart, my original stats come back.  I have uninstalled the app on my phone,  reset the watch, turned off Bluetooth, all the suggestions I can find but when I sync them up again it goes back to the smaller count.  I have had the watch for only 3 days

@Jenny4227 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with your Inspire HR losing steps. This is odd. Do you have any third party app linked to your account? Have you manually logged any activities on your account? Could you share a screenshot of what you see and if possible of the changes you see on the account and also of the activities area? Try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

I look forward to your reply.
